As a Junior Mobile App Developer at Zaptec, you’ll help build and improve the mobile experiences used by drivers and installers across our European markets.

You’ll join a team that thinks about the entire user experience, working closely with other developers, designers, backend engineers and product to turn ideas into simple, reliable features. As an early-career developer, you’ll have room to learn, ask questions and develop your skills while contributing to software that reaches real users.

With support and mentorship from experienced colleagues, you’ll gradually take more ownership and responsibility as you grow in the role.

Your day-to-day might include:

• Developing and maintaining the Zaptec mobile apps, with a focus on quality, performance and accessibility.

• Collaborating with developers, designers, backend engineers and product to build simple and reliable user experiences.

• Contributing to secure and privacy-conscious mobile experiences.

• Participating in code reviews, testing and continuous improvements together with more experienced engineers.

• Learning from the team while sharing your own ideas and perspectives.

• Taking ownership of your contributions from development through testing and delivery.

• Helping us continuously improve how we build and deliver our mobile products.

You’re at the beginning of your career in mobile development and excited to turn what you’ve learned into products used in the real world.

You don’t need to know everything already. What matters to us is that you have a solid technical foundation, enjoy learning and want to become a better developer alongside experienced colleagues.

You’re curious about how things work, comfortable asking questions and motivated by solving problems together with others. At the same time, you’re not afraid to bring your own ideas to the table and challenge how things are done when you see an opportunity to make something better.

As for the skills required for this job

• Around 0-2 years of experience building mobile applications. Internships and relevant personal or academic projects absolutely count.

• An understanding of object-oriented programming and mobile application lifecycles.

• Familiarity with one or more mobile development stacks, such as native iOS with Swift or Android development.

• Experience using version control tools such as Git and GitHub.

• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

It’s a bonus if you also have experience with or exposure to:

• IoT or connected products.

• Kotlin Multiplatform.

• Agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.

We don’t have a strong preference between a bachelor’s or master’s degree. What matters more to us is your technical foundation, curiosity and willingness to learn ⚡️
