What your day would look like

As our Technical Support Specialist, you will be the key contact for our customers and partners: installers, distributors, charging point operators, etc., and will help them to learn more about our solutions and improve their skills.

As the key to the long-term success of Zaptec and our partners, you will provide them with the advice and support they need to make the installation and use of the charging stations deployed in France an optimal experience. You will be autonomous within your area of responsibility and will work closely with the technical teams at head office and the sales and marketing teams in France.

You will report directly to our Norway based Head of Support & Customer Success and plan your priorities in consultation with your French colleagues.

Although every day will be different, here are some of your daily tasks:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring proactive technical support and guidance.

  • Collaborate closely with sales to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.

  • Provide expert technical guidance and recommendations to clients and Zaptec team.

  • Support to installers and partners through the channels that Zaptec operates with.

  • Assist senior system in promoting suggestions to changes in routines, work methods e.g in Zendesk.

  • Maintain a minimum of backlog and make sure installers and clients are getting help as fast as possible.

  • Help customers and partners understand, sell and deliver our products.

  • Have a proactive perspective and promote activities that reduces incoming enquiries.

  • Handle returns, order cancellations and warranty replacements.

But that's not all... To play a full part in Zaptec's success in France :

  • You will contribute your technical expertise in pre-sales and help to draft responses to calls for tender.

  • You will help to promote our solutions, in particular by taking part in trade fairs and conferences in the EV ecosystem.

  • You will keep a close eye on technical developments to collaborate with our product managers in developing future equipment and services that meet the French market's needs and distinguish us from our competitors.


You will have at your disposal the Group's tools and processes to deliver the best possible service to our customers: Zaptec Academy e-learning, Help Centre, hotline, head office technical teams, business tools and processes. Your priority will be to satisfy our customers, partners and prospects by building long-term human and professional relationships.

As for the skills required for this job

  • Experience in a similar role, and ideally in the field of electric vehicle charging stations or industries such as energy or utility sector is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of the LV electrical installation ecosystem.

  • Knowledge and interest in energy and charging technology and solutions.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to present technical information in a clear and accessible way.

  • Autonomous and able to manage priorities, taking into account the objectives of the Group and France.

  • Proactive and opportunity driven within your field with a focus on making positive changes for our customers and our employees.

  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
